9 Transmission: (5.9)

The New Leon Cupra is fitted with a Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG). This six-speed gearbox, with steering wheel

controls, has two main operating modes, tiptronic and automatic, controlled from the steering wheel, by

the driver, through a SEAT Sport gearbox mode module. This system combines the best performance of

traditional manual and automatic gearboxes.

Transmission Specifications

• Specific gear ratios.

• Specific mechanical limited slip differential.

• The replacement of the gear lever with a gearbox mode module and two pads on the steering

wheel.

• Specific software.

• Sealed with SEAT Sport conformation seals shown in the following diagrams Regulation (5.9.3).

Maintenance

It is recommended to make a transmission inspection every 3000km. The transmission inspections must

be performed by SEAT Sport UK. Transmission returned to SEAT Sport UK for repair will only be accepted if

they are free of oil and in a clean condition.

Please be aware that a Transmissions service will take at least seven working days.
